Author Guidelines

Authors should follow the Q Bulletin Author’s Guide when preparing their submissions. The key requirements are as follows:

Eligibility criteria

  • Manuscripts must not be under consideration elsewhere and should represent QA/QI projects completed within the past five years with at least two (2) cycles.
  • Manuscripts describing projects that are planned to be submitted or presented in the current or future conference might be subjected to longer acceptance process in view of possible conflict of interest.
  • Authors should not publish the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Concurrent submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals is unethical. However, secondary publication of some types of articles (e.g., guidelines, translations) in more than one journal is permissible under certain conditions, with agreement from the authors and editors of both journals and proper citation of the primary reference.

Registration and Submission

Authors must register as an author on the journal’s online platform. All manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system by following the submission steps provided.

Manuscript Preparation

  • Include a concise abstract of up to approximately 300 words.

  • Provide 3–5 keywords that accurately represent the study.

  • The main manuscript should be up to approximately 5,000 words, excluding the abstract, tables, and figures.

  • A maximum of five tables and/or figures may be included. Figures and tables should be clear and numbered.

  • Appendices should not exceed five pages and should be uploaded as supplementary files where applicable.

Ethics and Consent

Obtaining ethical approval is encouraged, particularly for areas or populations deemed sensitive or vulnerable. Authors are also recommended to report any necessary ethical approvals or consent for studies involving patients or sensitive data.

Acknowledgement of sources

Proper acknowledgment of the work of others is required including AI-related source. Authors must cite influential publications that have shaped their research. Information obtained privately, such as in conversations, must not be used without explicit permission from the source. Similarly, confidential information obtained through peer review or grant applications must not be used without the author's permission.

Style and Format

Manuscripts must comply with the stylistic and bibliographic requirements specified in the Q Bulletin Author’s Guide.
