Peer Review Process
The Journal of Health Management adheres to a rigorous single-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and relevance of published work.
- Initial Screening
All submissions are first evaluated by the editorial team to assess suitability with the journal’s scope, compliance with submission guidelines, and overall quality. Manuscripts that do not meet basic requirements may be returned to authors without external review. - Peer Review
Manuscripts deemed suitable are sent to at least two expert reviewers with relevant subject expertise. The journal adopts a single-blind review system, where reviewers remain anonymous, but authors’ identities are visible to reviewers. - Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief or designated Associate Editor makes one of the following decisions:- Accept
- Minor revisions required
- Major revisions required
- Reject
- Revisions and Resubmission
Authors are expected to respond to reviewer comments and submit a revised manuscript within the stipulated time. Revised manuscripts may undergo further rounds of review if necessary. - Final Acceptance and Publication
Once a manuscript is accepted, it enters copyediting and production. Accepted papers are published online upon acceptance and later compiled into scheduled issues.
The average timeline from submission to publication is a minimum of three (3) months, depending on the extent of revisions required.
