About NIH Journals

NIH Journals is the official publishing platform of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Ministry of Health Malaysia. It brings together peer-reviewed, open-access journals that support the communication of research, professional practice and evidence relevant to health in Malaysia and beyond.

The platform provides a shared home for four titles: the Journal of Health Management, Q-Bulletin, the International Medical Research Journal, and the Malaysian Journal of Health Promotion. Each journal has its own editorial focus, scope, submission requirements and review process, while contributing to a common commitment to trustworthy scholarly publishing and the wider use of health evidence.

Our Purpose

NIH Journals exists to make relevant health knowledge easier to discover, evaluate and use. We provide a publishing environment for research and practice-based scholarship across areas including health management, healthcare quality, biomedical and clinical research, health promotion, population health and related disciplines.

Open Access to Knowledge

Our journals make published content available online for readers to access and use in accordance with the licence and copyright information stated by the relevant journal. Open access supports researchers, practitioners, policymakers, students and communities by improving access to timely health evidence.

Our Publishing Community

NIH Journals serves authors, reviewers, editors, readers and institutions engaged in health research and practice. We encourage submissions that are rigorous, clearly reported, ethically conducted and relevant to the communities and systems they seek to inform.
